Arbroath and District Junior League

One of a number of district leagues that operated in Forfarshire from the 1890s to early 1920s. Falling membership saw it fold in 1924 and its surviving clubs join the Forfar and District Junior League. In 1900, a local businessman, George Melvin, landlord of St Thomas Bar in Arbroath donated a trophy for the champions. Called the Melvin Cup, the league itself was also known as the Melvin League.

Between 1951 and 1955, Arbroath clubs, as well as competeing for the Angus Junior League, also played for the Arbroath Junior League, a supplementary competition.
